Male Pattern Baldness

Male Pattern Baldness, also known as Androgentic or Androgenic Alopecia. This type of baldness mostly affects people more 50 years. It is mostly depends on gene pool and if either or both parents have baldness can likely to have sings of male pattern baldness in their lifetime.

Signs of male pattern baldness

The first sign of male pattern baldness is that the men start losing his hair from left to the right of the hairline and gradually thinning at the top of the scalp. This type of baldness may be due to a disorder in the normal growth of hair that is, caused by the actions of androgens on sensitivity of hair follicles. These androgens are chemicals that are, produced naturally and are, carried in the bloodstream. They attach themselves to the sensitive hair follicles leading them to shrink and fall off the hair. As the follicles continue to shrink, there will be no production of hair on the scalp, which leads to complete baldness.

Preventing male pattern baldness

Each man had his own ways of reacting to the male pattern baldness. Some men take it as a natural part of the aging process and change their hairstyles accordingly and others take it to their heart and try to go for various types of medication and treatments.

There are various treatments, prescription medications, herbal remedies and anti hair loss, shampoos are available to prevent hair loss in men. Treatments may help in improving the blood circulation, strengthening the hair follicles and preventing DHT from attaching to the follicles.
